It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Nick James at the end of January 2023.
As well as being a long-standing Academician, attending the Course in 1976 and then as Chairman in 2001, Nick was Sales Director and then Managing Director of Pol Roger Ltd. before retiring in 2015. He then had a very active retirement both shooting and fishing (as well as working in the game processing business).
Prior to Pol Roger he had worked for both Taittinger and Lanson; having started in the Wine Trade at Saccone and Speed after studying at Stowe and then the Royal Agricultural College in Cirencester.
Our thoughts are with his wife Lottie and his two daughters.
