In 2016, I founded Fizz Feast, which has since grown into Scotland’s largest event dedicated to Champagne and sparkling wine. This marked the beginning of Wine Events Scotland, through which I now organise and host a wide range of events for both consumers and the trade. Alongside event work, I write wine columns for several publications, including The Sunday Post - Scotland’s most-read Sunday newspaper.

Champagne Quick Fire

What is your most memorable Champagne moment?

During The Champagne Academy course, we were invited to Olivier Krug’s family home. After a tour of the cellars a superb tasting, Olivier welcomed us to join him for dinner, in his dining room - an unforgettable evening and certainly memorable Champagne experience.

How did you start your career in Wine & Champagne?

Like many, my love for wine was inspired by my parents - my personal wine journey began working in Australia, after which I joined Corney & Barrow in London. I later moved to Southcorp Wines (now Treasury Wine Estates), where I became brand ambassador for their sparkling portfolio. Fast forward a couple of decades in the industry later, I found myself launching Fizz Feast - and the rest is still unfolding.

What is your current role in the industry?

I run Wine Events Scotland, where I organise, host, and speak at wine festivals and events for both the trade and wine enthusiasts. I also write regularly about wine, sharing my recommendations, stories, and discoveries.

3 Interests Outside of The Champagne World

Making the most of the great outdoors especially hillwalking, wild swimming and skiing.

Why Champagne?

Champagne is an international personality, with the unique ability to bring people together, brighten moods, and suit any moment, whether as an aperitif or at any stage of a meal. Quite simply, Champagne is everyone’s best friend!
