What is your most memorable Champagne moment?

It was quite recent, actually. I got really emotional when sipping Krug with the pairing piece of music at the Krug experience. It was so powerful, I was already super honoured to be part of the Champagne academy, and that moment just felt right. Felt like everything was in place as it should be. It was a moment of epiphany; Krug is a very special champagne.

How did you start your career in Wine & Champagne?

I was a buyer for aircraft parts in Rio, Brazil, at one of the biggest iron mining companies in the world, and wine was always a hobby. Until I realised I needed to pursue a career in wine because I just fell in love with it. Then I moved alone, without family and friends or any support, to London at age 27 and discovered how gigantic the wine and champagne world is over here. Just added one more motivator, and here I am, 8 years later, still loving wine and champagne every single day!

What is your current role in the industry?

I am the marketing manager for Davy’s Wine Merchants, overseeing trade activities. I am also the founder and content creator of @wineriaofficial, where I communicate about wine. 3 Interests Outside of The Champagne World

I paint with watercolors, especially sceneries and botanicals.
I do a lot of craft; I simply love it, such as making wax stamps, creating my own Christmas/occasion cards, and things like that.
I love Yoga; I have been practicing more and more in the last few years, and I couldn’t manage to do everything I do without these small moments of calm and focus.

What is your favourite quote?

“Impossible is not a fact. It’s an opinion.”
Muhammad Ali

Why Champagne?

Who doesn’t love Champagne, tell me? The history, the resilience of surviving after 2 world wars, and one almost destroyed the region completely. It is just fascinating, the winemaking practices, the sense of terroir, the unique perpetual reserve, the celebratory/indulging vibes. I simply love it.i
