Lady Moyra Campbell

Members may have seen the obituary of Lady Moyra Campbell who died on November 8th, aged 90. What was widely reported was that she was one of the six Maids of Honour at the Queen’s Coronation, being the daughter of Lord Stratheden. What is not so well known is that for many years she was the Hostess at Chateau de Saran in the 1950's and '60's.

One of our members, Lionel Frumkin had the pleasure of meeting Lady Moyra during his time on the Course in 1959. He remembers her as being incredibly warm and friendly and put all her guests at ease from the moment they arrived at this magnificent chateau. Our thanks to Lionel for this information.
